AES-256 Encryption at Rest

All files uploaded to FastShare are stored with AES-256 server-side encryption. Your files are automatically encrypted the moment they're stored and can only be accessed through valid, authorized requests.

Encrypted Transfers

All data between your browser and FastShare is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and TLS, preventing any interception during upload or download.

Turnstile Protection

Every upload and download is verified with Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse and ensure only real users access shared files — no puzzles required.

SHA-256 Integrity Verification

Files are hashed with SHA-256 upon upload. Recipients can verify the hash on download to confirm files haven't been modified or corrupted during transfer.

Auto-Expiring Links

Shared files automatically expire after your chosen duration (1 day to 1 week). Expired files are permanently deleted from our servers.

Configurable Download Limits

Set a maximum number of downloads for each share. Once the limit is reached, the files become inaccessible regardless of the expiration date.

No Tracking or Accounts

FastShare doesn't require user accounts or collect personal information. Share files anonymously without creating a digital footprint.

Rate Limiting

Built-in rate limiting protects against abuse and ensures fair usage for all users. API endpoints are protected against excessive requests.

Our Security Philosophy

FastShare is designed with a privacy-first approach. We believe that shared files should only exist for as long as they're needed. By making all shares temporary by default, we minimize the risk of sensitive data lingering on servers indefinitely.

We don't require user accounts, which means there's no profile data, email addresses, or personal information stored in our systems. The only data we retain is the uploaded file content and minimal metadata needed to serve the share — and all of it is deleted upon expiration.

Security FAQ

How are my files stored on FastShare?

All files uploaded to FastShare are stored with AES-256 server-side encryption (SSE-S3). Your files are automatically encrypted at rest and can only be decrypted by our storage system when accessed through a valid, authorized request.

Is my data safe on FastShare?

Yes. FastShare uses industry-standard AES-256 encryption for all stored files — the same standard used by major cloud providers. All file transfers are also protected in transit via HTTPS/TLS, ensuring end-to-end security.

Who manages the encryption keys?

Encryption keys are managed server-side by our storage layer. No manual key handling is required, and your files remain protected at all times without any action needed on your part.

What encryption standard does FastShare use?

FastShare uses AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard with a 256-bit key), which is a widely trusted encryption standard used by governments, banks, and major cloud providers worldwide.

Are file transfers encrypted too?

Yes. All data transferred between your browser and FastShare is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and TLS (Transport Layer Security), preventing any interception during upload or download.

Does FastShare share my files with third parties?

No. Your files are stored privately on our encrypted storage. Files are only accessible via the share links that you generate and control.
